Miller House & Garden Tour

The Miller House is one of America’s finest examples of residential modernism, showcasing the remarkable collaboration of architect Eero Saarinen, designer Alexander Girard, and landscape architect Dan Kiley. This guided tour experience begins at the Columbus Area Visitors Center – 506 5th Street – with an engaging introductory video, followed by a short shuttle ride to the Miller House.

Tour Price: $30 per person (tours often sell out – book in advance) Duration: 90 minutes

Note: The Miller House is closes Jan-Feb for restoration but will reopen in March—plan now to make it part of your spring adventures!

Architectual Tours

The Architecture Highlights Tour reveals how this small Midwestern city became a modern architecture destination. This engaging two-hour guided shuttle tour (with minimal walking) visits dozens of remarkable sites and includes up-close access to two iconic locations, with the opportunity to step inside two building interiors. Tickets are required in advance. $30 per person | $25 for students | 2 hours.

Prefer to explore on foot? The Iconic Columbus Downtown Walking Tour highlights celebrated modern buildings and shows how they blend seamlessly with Victorian storefronts and historic structures throughout downtown. Select building interiors may be included based on availability. $15 | 90 minutes.

If you’re ready to explore the outdoors, hop on Columbus’ People Trail—a scenic loop network of paved paths ideal for biking, jogging, or walking past parks, public art, and downtown sights.

For those who love being on the water or surrounded by nature, plan a trip this summer with Blues Canoe and paddle along scenic waterways, soaking in the fresh air and beautiful landscapes. They Typically open in May, but check their Facebook for more details and water level information. You can also head to CERAland Sports & Campground for putt-putt, swimming, fishing, and more, or enjoy a relaxed round of disc golf. Donner Park is another great stop for a pickup game of basketball, pickleball, or tennis—plus, don’t miss the disc golf course!
