Columbus Architecture Tours
Discover why Columbus, Indiana is celebrated as a world-renowned destination for modern architecture. Guided by trained volunteer guides, these tours share the stories behind the city’s remarkable design legacy, from iconic midcentury landmarks to Victorian, Edwardian, and other historic styles throughout the community.
Tour options include the Architecture Highlights Tour, which introduces visitors to renowned architects such as I.M. Pei, Robert Venturi, Eliel and Eero Saarinen, Harry Weese, and Deborah Berke; The Miller House and Garden Tour, featuring one of the country’s most important midcentury modern residences; and Walking Tours, which explore celebrated modern buildings alongside historic downtown storefronts.
Additional self-guided options are also available, including architecture guides, audio tours, and bike tour routes. Advance reservations are recommended, as guided tours regularly sell out.
Private and group tours are available, including private Architecture Highlights tours and several Miller House and Garden group tour options. Guided tours require advance tickets, and private or group tours are subject to availability and should be arranged at least four weeks in advance.
